january 2011- may 2011 (THAILAND, camping)

WOOHOOO! Catch up complete! Now I'll be able to update on our life here in DC. Including a tally of all of my bug bites. Someone please explain to me why city planners decided to drain a swamp to construct DC? Swamp = bug bites= 18 just on my right arm= I don't sleep because of the histamine overload and I swell up and have rashes and it's lame.
I digress.
On New Years eve we hosted a party full of dancing and embarrassing photos.

In January I was offered a job at Edison Elementary. With only two weeks until my start date, Adam and I went on a very very last minute trip to Thailand. It was wonderful. We went to Bangkok, Chaing Mai, Ko Phi Phi, and Railay.

Thailand was magical and we loved it so much. The food, the people, the lady boys, the rock climbing, the temples. Heavenly.

Valentines day is super important to us. Our first kiss was v-day 2003 and we got engaged v-day 2009.
The infamous snow log adventure of 2011. Nude hot springs. Icy logs. Freezing. It was great.

Before and ...
After

Los Angeles / St. George

Zion / Moab

I got a grant to take my class rock climbing. Thank you Momentum! They loved it, and I love them. 4th grade was great.

So there you have it. The impossible has been accomplished. My next post will include timely photos and things. Also, our birthdays are soon. Woohoo!

september 2010 - december 2010 (camping, MEXICO)

Alright. Nostalgia is fun and nostalgic and everything, but I can't wait to be done playing catch up. The latter part of 2010 is when we moved back to Utah. There was a lot of camping. I finished student teaching and grad school. I went to Mexico for educational research as the capstone of my graduate school career. But mostly, Mexico was just really awesome.

My dreamy 3rd grade student teaching class. No students will ever live up to their legacy.
Angel's Landing.
Jackson (s) hole.
Grand Tetons.
Yellowstone-- ol' faithful
Yellowstone
Thanksgiving in Zion
The lady portion of the cast of The Frog Prince. Oui Oui.

So now is when we enter into MEXICO. I wish I was Mexican. Or even a half-zy like Michelle. I want to move back to Mexico and never leave and teach ninos and eat tortillas and vegan soup.
Super cool ruins above Amatlan.
Pre-school cuties.
I fit in to/enjoyed the rural elementary school more than the private one.
Niche was way better at making tortillas than me. Naturally.
Teotihucan! With Michelle! Ta-da!

Frida and Diego's house. Michelle and I planted our hair in Frida's garden.
Not from Mexico, but our Christmas.

Okay. Yowza. I think only one more post and then I'll be caught up and will try really hard to not fall behind again. I make no promises.
