Details, details.

Step one. Will someone pretty please teach me how to put photos on blogs? I tried and the photos were all over the place. Okay thank you.

Step two. There are a lot of you who are wanting to know details about the wedding. We have most everything determined, luckily.

• Salt Lake Temple, 12:20 in the afternoon on Saturday May 23rd.
• Reception at Millcreek Inn. So so pretty. It's basically just a big secluded patio and lil' cabin in the mountains. 3 miles up Millcreek Canyon.
• Wedding Dinner: Caffe Molise on Friday May 22nd. Fancy and yummy.
• Bridesmaids: Alli Cook Barton, Aly Cain, Danielle Pringle, Jessie Allen, Kate Hazelwood, Megan Cofield, Sarah Goog Winward and Tessa Hansen Harris.
• Groomsmen: Benjamin Hawker, Brett Hatch, Chad Brubaker, Craig Larsen, Daniel Johnson, Josh Dorius, and Micah Wood.
• Colors: Black, grey, eggplant and emerald. But we're not sticking to them religiously.
• Rings: Mine is being made as I type. It's rose gold with lots of vine-y filigree with black and brown diamonds. Adam's is a hammered rose gold band. 
• Dress: Also being made as I type. I tea-dyed the fabric myself. Really simple design, but with the coolest fabric ever. 
• Showers: The friends one is being thrown by Carly Breinholt and Tessa Harris. The family one is being thrown by Dawn Hall.
• Honeymoon: We haven't booked flights yet, but planning on Costa Rica.
• Apartment: I'm already moved in, and Adam will join me later. It's in the avenues and super cheap. We love it.

The Proposal

Oh dear. I have not the slightest clue how to use this, but hopefully it will come to me quickly.

First things first. As of February 14th 2009, Adam Tyler Dorius and myself are engaged! Yahoo! And as some of you may say "It's about time". Adam and my's first kiss was on February 14th 2003, so it's always been our anniversary of sorts. I suppose the next logical piece of information is how the proposal happened. 

Valentines morning, Adam made breakfast for us. Then off to the Manti temple, which is my favorite. It was a blizzard for most of the 2 hour drive. It stopped once we got close and the view of the temple was amazing. We luckily were able to do baptisms for the dead, even though the whole day was booked. Adam had planned a nice lunch for us, but things feel through so we ended up going to Subway. Ha. I still give him a hard time about that.

The drive back wasn't nearly as dreadful. All morning, Adam had been saying that we had to hurry to our dinner reservations downtown. I had been trying to guess where we were going, but I kept falling short. We pulled up at our apartment with the excuse that Adam and to run inside and get something. While we were at the temple, Adam's sisters had come and decorated my room. It was really sweet. I could tell they put a lot of work into it. And they even went and got us sushi for dinner! Yum. We danced and ate. Then Adam gave me my present (which was accidently mailed to my house! good thing I didn't open it before!). It was a teeny tiny little envelope. With a teeny tiny wax seal. I opened the letter and read it with a magnifying glass. It read.....

Then Adam got down on one knee, and switched my wood ring from my right hand to left. After we climbed Maccu Pichu on our Peru trip this past summer, Adam had bought me the ring, and I always have loved it. People think we're crazy that I have a wood engagement ring, but it's the best. I was so happy, that I couldn't even say yes! I just nodded and hugged him. It was so lovely. And after, we went to Pioneer Theatre Company's production of "Romeo and Juliet". Aww. How cheesy and perfect. I wouldn't have changed a thing.
